We can assist you with breaking up buried rock, boulders, and concrete that are too large to move or excavate. Whether that be in a civil construction project such as basements, foundations, or septic pits. Or possibly in a trenching situation.
Maybe it’s something out of the ordinary. Like you have an old basement with no access window and the county won’t allow you to make it a “living space” until you get a hole big enough to put one in. There are many situations where the application of the right “tools” can get you back on track. Not sure? Just text us and we will get back to you ASAP.
- Non-Explosive-We use a natural chemical process that quietly and safely generates tremendous pressures inside the rock, cracking it. This non-explosive process can take 24 to 72 hours to complete. This is often the method of choice when the problem is close to a home’s foundation, a well, or other sensitive structures. Also, in areas where regulatory limitations just don’t allow standard explosive demolition, or the flying rock would pose too great of a hazard.
- Low Explosive- The advances in demolition charges have increased to a point where standard high explosives are rarely needed. Depending on the size of the job, low explosive options allow for little to minimal fly rock, little to no vibration, with greater safety and less blast and noise. Often the noise generated is like a large firecracker going off. These technologies use the pneumatic forces of high volumes of gas to split the rock.
- High Explosive – I usually like to use package dynamite. It’s high energy but low “throw” breaks rock efficiently with very little “fly-rock”. But only in appropriate situations and locations.
